【海韵讲座】2018年第41期-Crowdsourcing Approach for Road Surface Monitoring using Smartphone Sensors Data
讲座时间:7月17日下午16:00
讲座地点:行政楼C505
讲座人:Professor Michael Chapman is currently a Professor in Geomatics Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Chapman began his tenure at Ryerson University in 2000 and was a Professor in the Department of Geomatics Engineering at The University of Calgary from 1982 to 2000. He obtained his Masters degree from the Department of Geodetic Science at The Ohio State University and his Ph.D. from the Department of Geodetic Science at Laval University, Quebec, Canada.
Over the last three decades, Dr. Chapman has carried out research and development in the areas of analytical aerotriangulation, close-range metrology, camera calibration and softcopy software development. He has considerable research experience in the area of auxiliary sensor-assisted aerotriangulation and satellite image georeferencing using integrated GPS/GNSS, INS including geometric constraints. He has been involved in the development and application of high-precision deformation algorithms using metric cameras and surveying measurements for structures, industrial machinery, pipelines dams and landslide areas. Since 1988, he been active in research related to mobile mapping systems involving multi-sensor data fusion. He is also active in the development of transportation spatial monitoring systems, underground utility mapping, hybrid sensor development and computer-controlled systems for transportation-related construction.
