摘要：

With the rapid development of Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology and the advent of the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), NLP in all walks of life plays a more and more important role, especially in the field of finance recently. This lecture combines an overview to the basic theory and technology of NLP with its definition, characteristics, problems and challenges, it will introduce (1) Why Natural Language Processing (NLP) in Finance? (2) NLP Fundamentals and Technology, and (3) NLP in Finance Case Study. This lecture also discusses some research directions that new frontiers of NLP in finance.

报告人简介：

Ziming HUANG is currently working with the AI for Finance and AI for Conversational System in IBM Research. Before joining IBM, he received his Bachelor degree from Xiamen University in 2015 and his Master degree from Peking University in 2018. He also worked in MSRA and DiDi Research as an researcher intern from May 2016 to Oct 2017.

He has a broad interest in Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence. He is currently working on research topics related to explainability NLP technology for finance application, dialogue system and the next generation enterprise conversational AI platform, the work has been achieved A-level IBM Research Accomplishment, published in AAAI, AMIA, SIGDIAL, BigData, SCC and etc., and also filed a number of patents. He is also keen to support professional services, like as PC member or reviewer in AAAI, IJCAI, AMIA, NAACL, COLING and etc.
